The Nehalem Bay State Park campground will be closed to install new water lines, electricity, restroom and shower buildings. The closure begins Nov 1, 2024 with a goal to reopen the campground in July 2025.
Extra Vehicles: Each campsite fee includes parking for one vehicle. Campers may have a maximum of two vehicles parked at a site; extra vehicle is $7 per night. A third vehicle may park in a designated parking area away from the campsite for the nightly extra vehicle fee; additional vehicles will not be allowed in the park overnight. Reservations do not cover the per vehicle day use parking fee. All vehicles must display valid OPRD pass or permit that covers parking fees. Daily permits available for purchase on site.

Boat docks are removed October-May to protect them from winter storm damage
Drones are not allowed to protect nesting shorebirds and for the safety of visitors using the airport camp and flying planes.
Seasonal Beach Restrictions March 15 - Sep. 15
Beach restrictions in place south of the main park day-use area during western snowy plover nesting season. Foot and equestrian traffic permitted on wet sand only; all other recreation is prohibited. Information:
